Our story

Hi y’all! My name is Sam, and I am the owner/creator for Silks and Brims! I have always had a thing for Fashion. Beautiful scenery. Mountains. Dirt roads. Horses. Bulls. Cowboys. Sunsets. Rodeos. Hats. Bandanas. Chaps. Belt buckles. Pearl snaps. Bolo Ties. Flare jeans. Lassos. “Yee-haws!” and “Howdy’s!” All of these things, plus so much more, led me to the decision of opening up my very own business to be able to create some of the things that I adore - Western wear. Bringing the West right here to my hometown, in the state of Alabama, I give you Silks and Brims.

Last summer, my family and I took our very first trip out West to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It checked all of our boxes of a dream vacation! While there, we were able to visit many different custom hat shops. It was absolutely an experience like no other! This was when the idea hit me to create not only a hat bar, but to also throw my own Western twist on things and design custom made bandanas and scarves that can be used multiple ways! From hat accents, to neck ties, bandanas can serve so many purposes.
